Our Mission
At MintedMath, built by TechsPassion LLC, our mission is simple: to make the financial math behind big money decisions accessible to everyone. We believe that financial literacy and a solid understanding of compound interest are the cornerstones of building long-term wealth.
For too long, complex financial planning tools have been locked behind expensive advisor fees or confusing spreadsheets. We built MintedMath to break down those barriers, providing clear, carefully tested simulations that anyone can use to explore their financial future.
Why We Built This
We saw a gap in the market for financial calculators. Many online tools are either too simplistic (ignoring real-world frictions like taxes and inflation) or overwhelmingly complex. We wanted to strike the perfect balance—tools that are easy enough for a beginner to use, but robust enough to provide actionable, realistic insights.
- Accuracy: Our calculators account for the hidden costs often missed in simple models.
- Privacy: We don't ask for your personal financial data. Everything you enter stays in your browser; nothing is sent to us or stored.
- Education: We don't just give you a number; we explain the concepts behind the math.
Our Calculators
- Compound Interest: how savings and regular contributions grow over time.
- Buy vs Rent: a 30-year comparison of owning a home against renting and investing the difference.
- Mortgage Payoff: the time and interest saved by paying extra.
- Debt Payoff: the avalanche and snowball strategies compared side by side.
- FIRE: your financial independence number and when you could reach it.
- Opportunity Cost: what spending really costs compared with investing.
- Card Fees vs Bank Payment: whether card rewards outweigh a processing fee.
How We Build and Check Our Calculators
- Published formulas: every calculator page shows the formula it uses, a worked example you can reproduce with the default inputs, and the assumptions and limitations behind it.
- Tested math: we check each calculator against standard, independently derived formulas (such as the loan amortization formula) and against edge cases like 0% interest rates before publishing it.
- Plain about limits: no calculator can predict markets. We say clearly where a simulation simplifies reality, such as constant returns or excluded taxes.
- Reviewed and updated: we review our pages regularly. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll correct it.
MintedMath is an educational tool, not a financial advisor. We don't sell financial products, and our calculators don't recommend specific investments.
